Rubén Parejo

Rubén Parejo is Professor of Guitar at the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory of Music in Valencia, a member of the Royal Academy of Valencian Music, Artistic Director of the “Luys Milán” Guitar Festival and the Gandía Guitar Festival,
He is artistic director of the “Luys Milán” Guitar Festival and the Gandía Guitar Festival

He has received awards at international competitions and is a guest professor at numerous courses, seminars, competitions, and masterclasses in the United States,
Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Israel, Japan, Thailand, and most European countries, also performing as a solo concert artist in all of them
He is an outstanding and authentic interpreter of the music of Joaquin Rodrigo.

Several composers, including E. Sanz Burguete, E. Morales-Caso, J. Cardoso, and R. García i Soler, have dedicated works to him. He has recorded several CDs as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, including recordings with Capella Saetabis and the Nuevo Tango Septet Zinger. In 2018, he recorded the CD Con tanta tenerezza together with his son, Ausiàs Parejo

For several years, he studied with the master José Luis González, assimilating the traditions of the Andrés Segovia and Regino Sainz de la Maza schools. He earned his degree as a Professor of Guitar at the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory of Music, under the guidance of Mª Rosa Gil, an heir to the Francisco Tárrega school.
